Dickinson Place:Celebrating 40 Years

Please join your fellow church members and Rev. Steve Matthew at Dickinson Place’s Open House on October 13, from 5–7 pm to celebrate
40 years of stories like Aubrey’s:

“On April 5, 2005, I came home. That was the day that I moved into Dickinson Place. When I saw my apartment I was so very happy and couldn’t believe that all of this had been done for me. God has truly blessed me.”

Dickinson Place began its service to lower income senior adults in 1971. It was the vision of former Senior Minister at HPUMC, Rev. Bill Dickinson, that the ministry would meet an important community need for safe and affordable housing and services for lower income elderly. Forty years later, Dickinson Place continues to meet the ongoing needs of the community’s disadvantaged elderly. Multiple activities and services are provided to ensure that residents are able to live a peaceful retirement and maintain their independence. After forty years of service, Dickinson Place’s mission remains the same and they are anxious to share it with you.
