January 29, plan to attend our State of the Children's Ministry Meeting - 4:00 - 5:30 in Great Hall. JoyfulSpirit will be singing, and the elementary children will be participating in a great Mission Project while the parents attend this exciting meeting that will spell out the new vision for our Children's Ministry. Parents, come hear "Project Eve" - Caitlin Wells, our HPUMC Youth Choir Director, is the Artistic Director, and I am the Associate Music Director. This group of professional singers will present "Light" - more than a concert, more than a "show" - it's an extra-sensory and worship-filled experience. Right here in our Sanctuary, Saturday night, Jan. 28, 8:00 pm. Part of the proceeds of our concerts go to charities that support women.

In the afternoon, for the State of the Children's Ministry Meeting, we will sing "This is the Day" - it is on your Christmas CD. So far we have 25 singers coming to this special event! Room for MORE! Make your reservation asap (see link above). Here are the details:
- 3:30 pm - meet in room 391 - wear Green NewSong T-Shirt and Jeans. I'll have extras if you don't have one.
- Parents go to Great Hall after bringing your singers to me.
- We sing right at 4:00.
- Then I will take your children to the Mission Project on the 2nd floor.
- You must RSVP right away - there are only 10 spots left for the project! See the link above.

During our time together, we have a snack, singing time and worship together.
Terrie Preskitt-Brown is the Director of this dynamic group of elementary singers. She has been the Coordinator of Children’s Music for six years. “Ms. Terrie” brings lots of energy and a love for praising God through music to every rehearsal. She also teaches private voice lessons to some of our Youth and Chancel Choir members, conducts for the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, and sings with the Orpheus Chamber Singers. She’s always good for an uplifting laugh!
