Scheduling an Infant or Child Baptism

Baptisms are conducted in all of our worship venues:
Cornerstone Worship – 9:30 and 11:00 (Cornerstone will hold baptisms ONLY the second Sunday of the month January -June, 2011. Summer dates are pending.)
Cox Chapel – 8:30 and 11:00
Sanctuary – 9:30 and 11:00 excluding the first Sunday of each month
Kerygma – 11:00.

To schedule, please contact Mary Bishop at bishopm@hpumc.org AND or fill out the form below - We need a minimum of two months advance notice to schedule. No more than four baptisms are generally scheduled per service. Parents must be members of Highland Park United Methodist Church, for information, contact Cathy Leonard at leonardc@hpumc.org prior to scheduling the baptism.

“FIRST TIME MOTHERS” ARE INVITED WITH THEIR BABIES TO A SUPPORT GROUP. THE NEXT CLASS WILL BE SEPT 13.20, 27 & OCT 4 from 6:00 to 7:30pm in room 384. THE DADS JOIN THE GROUP FOR THE FOURTH WEEK. THE MOMS FORM A PLAYGROUP AFTERWARDS FOR THOSE THAT WOULD LIKE TO JOIN. THE GROUP WILL BE LIMITED TO 12 NEW MOTHERS AND WILL COST $30 FOR FOUR WEEKS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE. PLEASE CONTACT MARY BISHOP, PASTORAL CARE, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING (214-523-2202 OR BISHOPM@HPUMC.ORG.). *WE WILL SHARE OUR BIRTH STORIES AS WELL AS MAKING NEW CHURCH FRIENDS FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR BABY. OTHER TOPICS ARE "FINDING TIME FOR ME”, “FINDING TIME FOR THE MARRIAGE", CHILD DEVELOPMENT TIPS AND PRACTICAL RESOURCES IN TOWN.
