Dana Howard

dana_h_CD.gifDana grew up in San Antonio,Texas and is at heart a Hill Country girl.  However, after attending Southern Methodist University, the job opportunities in Dallas enticed her to stay in the big city.  She was a construction coordinator for a remodeling contractor, personal assistant to Lawrence Marcus of Neiman Marcus, co-owner of a video production company and director of Summer School programs at the Hockaday School before meeting her husband, Bob, on a blind date and marrying in May 1985.  She has two children, Molly and Robert (who mean the world to her) and was actively engaged in the HPUMC youth program during their childhood, as well as leadership in Bible Study Fellowship.  She has found Cornerstone to be the perfect place to put that crazy patchwork of experience together and loves having a job where the ultimate goal is to encourage others in their faith.

Who were some of your favorite influences/inspirations? I have a loyal group of friends that I grew up with in San Antonio who keep me grounded, my family keeps me humble and my faith keeps me going.

My all time favorite movie is...Camelot. I think I saw it twelve times back in the day when you had to go to the theater and pay every time!

My favorite food is... (was) the salad trio at Lady Primrose until they closed, but I also love greasy spoon breakfasts.

My favorite sport is...High School football.

What's on your ipod? Whatever my kids put on it.

What's one of the most important lessons you've learned in life? To encourage others at every opportunity.

My favorite quote is... "It is through the small things in life that people are most often antagonized or attracted."

My favorite scripture is... "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."
