Josh Miller

josh_miller_CS.pngJosh Miller has always been a musician, but it was around age 16 that he started to feel the pull of turning his abilities towards ministry. After leading for many special events and services, he took up his first regular worship leading post at age 17. By age 19, Josh had been around to East Africa three times sharing his love for worship for the people of Kenya, and his love for helping people connect with Jesus was sealed in him, and he has been leading worship regularly for churches and special events ever since.

In April of 2007, Josh married his amazingly hot wife Krista, and they began leading worship side by side. They play several instruments between the two of them - Josh was a percussion major in college prior to leaving school to pursue other musical opportunities. A highlight of Josh and Krista's worship journey came in 2010 when they were invited to lead worship at the first ever East African Pastor's Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, for 5,000 African pastors, bishops, and church leaders.

Josh currently lives in Roanoke with Krista and their two dogs.

Favorite movie: Braveheart. It's manly and epic and it should be your favorite too.

Favorite quote:
Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival. - C.S. Lewis

Food: Bacon is the answer to life's problems. I also love all things Italian and most things chocolate.

iPod: The Civil Wars, Snow Patrol, Mat Kearney, Bethel Live, Hillsong United, Jesus Culture, Shane & Shane, Coldplay, U2, Bon Iver, Kings of Leon, The Fray, The Frames, The New Frontiers, Wesley Jensen, and on and on....

Important lesson: There will always, 100% of the time, be someone better than you at what you are doing. Learn from them. Except Jesus, but you're not Jesus.

Scripture: "Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way." James 1:2-4, The Message
