Tom Hippman
Tom was born near Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Rockford, IL just west of Chicago. The middle of three brothers, Tom moved with his family to Arlington, TX when he was in junior high school. He attended Lamar High School in Arlington and continued his education at the University of Texas at Arlington. He earned a Master of Architecture degree, carries an Architectural License in the state of Texas and has been designing and building shopping centers and mixed use projects for 18 years. He recently added teaching at ITT Tech in Arlington to his resume. In July 2009 Tom joined the Cornerstone Staff as the Welcome Ministries Director. He really enjoys working with the volunteer teams as well as executing breakfasts and pot-lucks for the congregation. Tom originally became involved at HPUMC when he moved to Dallas after college.. He was very active in the Singles Class, “Pursuits”, where he made many of his closest friends and met his wife Tami Cannizzaro. Tom and Tami have been happily married and partners in everything for over 13 years. They enjoy traveling anywhere , including small get-aways for some much needed downtime. Tom’s favorite city to travel to is Rome. He studied there while in College and he and Tami spent their honeymoon there. While they do not have any human children, they have a four-legged daughter named Kylie, an 80 pound Golden Retriever – German Sheppard mix that has trained them both to be good dog parents. Tom is an avid sports fan. He follows all of the local professional teams including the Cowboys and the Mavericks, and considers himself a die hard Ranger’s fan. (Someday they will win another playoff game). Tom has been influenced most by his father. He showed him how to have a strong work ethic and always put your best effort into everything you do.

Favorite Food – Is Manwhich considered food? If not, it should be.
Favorite Sport – Any – he has been known to watch competition table tennis late at night. Tom does not have cable TV for just this reason – he would be up all night watching sports.
