TP.jpgTerrie Preskitt-Brown is an Associate Director of Music & Arts , coordinates the Acolytes, conducts the Epworth Handbell Ensemble, coordinates our monthly Taize services, directs our summer music camps, and is on the voice faculty of the TowerArts Conservatory.  Her passion is to share the love of God through music with people of all ages.    


She is the Assistant Conductor of the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, and regularly conducts this group at the Meyerson Symphony Center.  She is in demand as a clinician for elementary music teachers and children’s choirs.  Before joining the staff at HPUMC, she served for seven years as the Music Specialist at Hillside Academy for Excellence, a magnet school for the Gifted & Talented in the Garland ISD.  She served as a trainer for the Gifted and Talented teachers in that district in advanced curricula focusing on brain research.  


Terrie_Preskitt_Dinner.jpgA magna cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University, Terrie holds degrees in Music Education and Voice Performance.  She is the soprano section leader for Orpheus Chamber Singers, and has sung as a soloist in recitals, concerts and oratorios around the United States, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, England and Italy.  She was a member of the Texas Baroque Ensemble for fourteen years.  In her career as a voice teacher she has coached more than thirty students to the Texas All State Choir, and many of her former students are now professional musicians.


“Ms. Terrie” (as she is known to the children of our church) strives to spread God’s Good News to people of all ages through the gifts of music.
