Youth Kerygma

This fall HPUMC Youth has a new small group for youth who are interested in pursuing a deeper intellectual basis for their faith.  

Kerygma small group seeks to do the work of Catechesis - the instruction given to Christian believers to prepare them for life via the maturation and instruction in their faith. We will pursue instruction in the essential doctrines of the faith - to quest after what truly stands at the heart of the Christian faith via an investigation into the historic prayers, the creeds, and the doctrines that have come to shape Christianity.  To accomplish this, we will attend Kerygma (Rev. Walt Marcum's teaching service) together on Sundays at 11am, and then break for a 25 minute small group session to unpack the material and discuss what it means for our lives.
