Summer Mission Trip Time!
This June the Youth group will be headed to Pensacola, Florida for a week! We will be repairing and rebuilding houses, experiencing life-altering worship, enjoying authentic community, and building great friendships (while on a beach). Pensacola still has some neighborhoods that are recovering from Hurricanes that hit the area a few years ago; some people recovered quickly, and some are still struggling. Our team will help these people feel the love of God as we rebuild their homes and communities.

Cost: December 1 – March 27: $749; March 28-May 3: $799; May 4-June 1: $850
Who: Anyone currently in 6-12grade (we don't promote to the next grade until after the trip) – you don’t have to be a member of the church to come, so bring your friends!
Parent Meeting Dates: Parent meetings will be Tuesday, May 8 at 6pm, and Monday, May 14 at 6:30pm – Please plan on making one!

Q: Wait, isn’t this just a beach trip? Doesn’t that mean we wont be working or doing anything missions-related?
A: Nope. We decided that we love mission trips, AND we love beach trips…So we just combined the two! We will spend the first 4 days building houses and serving Pensacola. The last two days (and possible the afternoons after work) we will hit up the beach for some fun!
Q: What is the trip going to look like?
A: We will take travel buses from HP to Pensacola, then switch to vans for the rest of the week. We depart early on Sunday Morning, then work all day Monday-Wednesday, ½ day Thursday, and then spend ½ day Thursday and all day Friday on the beach! We will clean up Friday and load the buses, then be back in Dallas by Late morning Saturday.
Q: Will my Swishin hours apply?
A: Yes! For those of you who don’t know, Swishin for Mission is our annual youth missions fundraiser that takes place in February. Participants have the opportunity to work the fundraiser in exchange for a discount on the mission trip (up to 20 hours, for a max discount price of $649)
Q: Where will we stay?
A: We will be staying at a church that will have our housing, kitchen, and showers all onsite.
